Founded in 1951, the Association of Independent Schools of Greater Washington (AISGW) provides support to independent schools in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia. AISGW's membership includes 86 non-profit schools. These schools - elementary, secondary, day and boarding, urban and rural - educate over 34,000 students and employ 7,700 staff. Their missions are as diverse as the communities they serve.
