Beaconhurst is situated at the foot of the Ochils in the attractive country town of Bridge of Allan.
Its origins go back to 1919 when both the Beacon School for Girls and the Hurst Grange School for Boys were founded. The schools amalgamated in 1975 and, after a period of steady growth, the new school - Beaconhurst - embarked upon an exciting development programme, with the opening of the secondary department in 1991.
The school's administration centre is based in a fine listed building which is surrounded by the various teaching areas. Classroom accommodation has been extended considerably over recent years to include Science laboratories, Modern Language facilities, a purpose-built building for the Junior School, three IT suites and an Expressive Arts building. Most recently a Sports Hall, new Dining Hall and IT-equipped classroom block have been added to supplement existing facilities.
