Child Protection Advice Services

It is vitally important to get your schools child protection policy right. It can be a minefield from initial recruitment to on going training. The government child protection policy is also under review constantly to ensure that we do the best for our children. There can sometimes be a difficult course to row for independent schools as bringing up issues of child protection with fee paying parents can cause bad feeling which is counter productive in pursuing the child’s best interests. Proper procedures in place can avert the need for potential confrontation training is vital in this area.

Whilst it is now part of a teachers or school managers job to take care of these procedures, including criminal records checks, educational professionals are primarily interested in making sure that the child attains the right academic levels after all that is why teachers do the job they do. It therefore is a fact that most child protection issues are dealt with as a secondary duty of members of staff along with other duties; it is a very onerous task as child protection is extremely important even from an OFSTED perspective we can offer help in the area of what procedures you should follow.
