Association of Independent Schools in Greater Washington
Founded in 1951, the Association of Independent Schools of Greater Washington (AISGW) provides support to independent schools in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia. AISGW\'s membership includes 86 non-profit schools. These schools - elementary, secondary, day and boarding, urban and rural - educate over 34,000 students and employ 7,700 staff. Their missions are as diverse as the communities they serve.
