School Profile

Patterned after American government and life, The Circle School is a scaled-down version of the world at large, and students are its citizens. Immersed in the joys and burdens of responsible freedom, children become experts at life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Preschool through high school, students and staff each have equal voice and vote in all matters of school governance. Founded on cherished principles of democracy, rule of law, individual rights, due process, and free enterprise, students freely pursue self-chosen activities every day.

Given freedom to explore and practice among people and resources, children find their own paths to individual ways of being effective. Initiative, learning, and self-responsibility become lifelong habits.
