School Profile
All courses taught at ISR are part of the comprehensive SABIS® Educational System. This system has been developed, refined, and tested for over a century. It draws on a comprehensive and rigorous curriculum that emphasizes a well-balanced body of knowledge, skills, and experiences.
In addition to the core subjects of English, mathematics, and German, the ISR curriculum is designed to provide knowledge of a broad range of subjects including science, social studies, art, music, health, physical education, and computers. It is designed to develop a balanced, well-rounded college-preparatory experience. ISR offers the following paths to university:
International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme, Grades 11- 12 or 12-13
SABIS® High School Diploma, Grade 12
US Advanced Placement (AP) Exams, Grade 12
ISR also uses IGCSE (International General Certificate in Secondary Education from Cambridge) exams in conjunction with the SABIS® curriculum as an excellent tool for preparing the students for the above-mentioned diplomas/exams.

ISR moved to its own purpose-built facilities at the Konrad-Adenauer-Ring in Neuss in September 2007. The architecture of the new building reflects the Mondrian style; the basic colors are black and white with individual wings in the primary colors. The state-of-the-art campus incorporates all the facilities needed to meet the high-quality service standards followed in a typical SABIS® school: advanced science and computer laboratories, music and practice rooms, art rooms, a library, a cafeteria, a triple-court sports hall, classrooms, multi-purpose rooms for intensive language and math courses, a separate KG area, and playgrounds.
ISR will be recognized as a provider of top-quality education to a highly diverse student body. It will strive to help all students achieve their full potential, prepare for success in college, equip them with the ability and desire for lifelong learning, and strengthen their civic, ethical, and moral values. ISR will maintain high standards of efficiency and accountability throughout its operation.
At ISR, the students are also encouraged to adopt the following principles:
Always try
Do your best
Manage yourself
Treat others with respect
Cooperate and actively help others
Respect the property and rights of others
