Wisbech Grammar School draws inspiration from its distinguished history, but has its sights firmly fixed on future success.
The School was founded in 1379 and is fully co-educational, providing teaching from Reception (age 4) to Upper VI level. Rightly proud of its excellent academic record, its teachers inspire a life long love of learning in their students.
At GCSE level 100% of our students achieved 5 A*-C passes including maths and English. Twenty-two different subjects are offered at A level. In recent years the School has enjoyed success in preparing students for Oxbridge and Russell Group universities, each student is supported individually to attain their goals.
A wide range of co-curricular opportunities mean that the Grammar School produces well rounded individuals; sport is played to a high standard, and for fun. Music and Drama thrive; regular concerts and productions are staged each year. We aim to foster the creativity of all our pupils.
The School enjoys enviable facilities, a new £1.25m hall for the popular Magdalene Hall Preparatory Department opened in summer 2008, yet fees are highly competitive. There is generous provision of means tested bursary support.
