For over 600 years Winchester College has educated boys in beautiful surroundings and historic buildings. A seven-day-a-week boarding school, Winchester has a familial sense of learning and community. Almost all members of a markedly able academic staff live at the School.

The School takes pride in giving all pupils a broad, liberal education and a lifelong interest in intellectual, spiritual and cultural matters.

There is a distinctive curriculum with a strong non-examined element, as well as the widest possible range of extra-curricular activities. Winchester's pupils tend to be bright and motivated. Examination results are exceptional, but preparation for examinations does not dominate the life of the community. We aim to nurture qualities of patience, tolerance, truthfulness, joy and reverence for beauty.
