The Robert Ogden School, founded in 1976, is the largest school for children with autism in the UK. In addition to Day places, the school offers 38-week and 52-week residential placements in homely and autism specific facilities. In recent years the school premises, formerly a local comprehensive school, has undergone an ambitious programme of expansion and development, leading to state-of-the-art facilities backed up by a wealth of experience in autism by the staff and the wider network of the National Autistic Society.
Pupils (age 7 - 19) are able to access a broad, balanced and relevant curriculum at a level appropriate to their needs. ICT plays an important role in all aspects of school life, and this is reflected in the modern equipment throughout school and residential services.
