There are approximately 350 pupils in the school. We have a co-ed Preparatory Department with single sex girls only Senior School. In most year groups there are two forms, each with a maximum of 20 pupils. The Sixth Form is divided into five tutor groups which are made up of mixed Year 12/13 groups, providing close academic monitoring, careers advice and excellent pastoral care. Academic results throughout are consistently high, brought about by the small teaching groups, individual pupil learning plans and excellent staff. There are also many extra curricular opportunities.
There is a small and welcoming boarding house which accommodates some 28 or so boarders in a family environment, offering termly, weekly and casual boarding to girls and boys.
In addition, there is a superb Nursery, with capacity for 60 children, which caters for children from 6 weeks to four years. It is open from 8.00am to 6.00pm each day, throughout the year. Nursery children usually progress into the Preparatory Department. The Nursery Managers closely monitor the development of pre-school children and work with the Head of the Prep Department to ensure a smooth transition, including spending a morning during the year preceding entry with the current Reception Class to familiarise themselves with the environment.
The school is a member of the Woodard group of schools.
