Situated on a hill overlooking the sea in the beautiful, safe seaside town of Sidmouth in Devon, St John's School is an independent day and boarding school for boys and girls aged 2 - 14. The school is an International Education Systems school and combines traditional values with a contemporary, international approach to learning,
The school benefits from excellent facilities including beautiful, historic buildings, extensive grounds and playing fields, a heated swimming pool, indoor sports hall, adventure playground and tennis courts.
In order to provide our children with 'Education for Life' we are aligning our teaching practices and methodologies with the International Baccalaureate system - encouraging academic excellence alongside a strong emphasis on the development of confident, reflective and caring young people and communities. Students in the Senior School will be prepared for International GCSE Examinations in Year 11 and then the International School Leaving Certificates (Years 12 and 13).
