Welcome to St Edmund's College
Located on a beautiful 400 acre site in the East Hertfordshire countryside, St Edmund's College is an Independent, fully co-educational, day and boarding school for children aged 3 -18 years. It is England's oldest Catholic School, founded in 1568, and today provides a traditional Catholic education to over 800 students from all faiths and denominations, both from the UK and worldwide. Situated between London and Cambridge, the College is easily accessible by road and rail and is conveniently located near to London's Stansted Airport.
One of the key aspects of St Edmund's is its unique style and atmosphere, which values academic excellence and the achievement of a personal best, right through from St Hugh's, the Preparatory School, to Sixth Form and beyond. In addition, all students are supported by a high level of pastoral care, based on a successful House system.
As well as the impressive, historical facade of the main building that resembles a large stately home, the College boasts excellent teaching and sports facilities including; state-of-the art computer suites, art and design technology workshops, large sports hall, floodlit all-weather sports pitch, tennis courts and an indoor swimming pool.
