School Profile
St. Augustine's Priory, an independent Catholic day school for girls (from four to 18), was founded in Paris in 1634 and moved to its present site in Ealing in 1915. The school follows the philosophy expounded by its patron, St Augustine of Hippo, of motivation rather than pressure which produces outstanding academic results and happy well rounded students. The school topped the 2007 Borough League Tables and was placed 23rd in the country in the Daily Telegraph's Independent Schools' Table (January 2008), with 59% of all GCSE grades at A* or A, and 41% of all A level grades at A grade, in a choice of 22 A2 subjects ranging from ancient Greek to astronomy.
St Augustine's Priory offers superb amenities including full size floodlit all weather pitch set in stunning 13 acre grounds. A new state-of-the-art science wing, Fifth Form Academy, dedicated sixth form areas and private studies, art rooms, two IT suites, music room, drama room and scriptorium are just some of the facilities.
