St Andrew's was founded in 1877 and its second headmaster, Edwin Leece Browne, shaped the school into one of the leading preparatory schools of the day. Today St Andrew's remains one of the best known and highly respected prep schools and it has grown and prospered, developing the solid foundations laid by E L Browne in his 43 years of headship.
