School Profile

Our 2 sites couldn't be more different. The prep school occupies an imposing, elegant Victorian building in the heart of South Kensington but, walk through the large iron gates off Albion Street, and you find yourself in a seemingly never-ending 'long garden' which is our Day Nursery. The latter takes children up to Reception age.

Our Philosophy
We have two main aims. The first is that, above all, the children in our care should be happy and self assured. The second is that they should love coming to school and thoroughly enjoy learning.



The Curriculum
In the pre-prep and prep departments, children are taught English, Mathematics, Science, ICT, Design and Technology, Geography, History,Art, PE, Music, French, Religious Studies, PSHE and Citizenship. Mandarin is taught from Form 3.

The school has a computer room and catalogued library and the children benefit from our ideal location close to Hyde Park and many of London's most famous museums. The curriculum is enhanced by regular trips, workshops, individual music tuition and talks from visiting professionals.
Sport is one of the school's particular strengths.
Regular PE lessons take place in Hyde Park and in our own studio. As well as hockey, football, cricket and athletics, the children have swimming and tennis lessons with qualified coaches.

French is taught from the Nursery Classes and an extensive range of extra-curricular activities are available including yoga, karate, drama, tennis, ballet and Arabic.
Parents are invited to a Curriculum Evening at the beginning of each academic year to find out what is in store for their children. Children whose first language is not English are well catered for, ensuring that they have the same access to the curriculum as every other child.

Pastoral Care
From the beginning of their time at school until they leave us, each boy and girl is respected as an individual whilst also being very much part of the community. The children are expected to be kind and considerate to one another, to take care of property and to respect the environment in which they live, work and play.

Our one-in-a-million chef ensures the children eat a well balanced diet. Lunches are varied and nutritious and specific dietary needs are accommodated. Milk,fruit, rice cakes and other healthy snacks are offered mid-morning; biscuits on Fridays!
