Much of the emphasis in Queen's Junior school is on breadth of experience, with achievement at any level being rewarded. The academic curriculum is wideranging, and complemented by an enormously varied co-curricular programme aimed at developing children with confidence, creativity and individuality.
Almost two-thirds of pupils play at least one musical instrument, and are encouraged to play and perform with others in choirs, flute groups, recorder groups and orchestra. Both formal and informal concerts feature regularly on the calendar. Drama too is a focal point within the school, with dedicated teaching resources and performances in contexts ranging from assemblies to musical shows.
