[/LS]Port Regis is a wonderfully vibrant and happy School buzzing with enthusiastic children, and it goes without saying that at the heart of every good school is a good staff. In an enterprise which is successful and happy and where hard work is appreciated and recognised, Port Regis provides a highly motivated and cohesive body of men and women, who devote themselves to the education and well being of the children.
The school is distinctive too in the quality of its boarding provision and the large number of children who choose to board. The latest OFSTED inspection rated Port Regis "Outstanding" in every category - a rare achievement indeed!
Stunning traditional and modern architecture come together in an environment designed to motivate and animate the children - buildings that harmonise with the beautiful grounds and create a lovely place in which to live, learn and simply be. Tradition and modernity are not limited to the inspirational architecture: they also apply to the School's philosophy. We have a traditional approach to conduct and achievement. However, we also have the relatively modern belief that children shine in the flow of positive reinforcement. Our excellent teaching and support staff work hard to develop their most powerful resource - a strong rapport with the children. We nurture the natural talents that each individual child has within, praising, encouraging and enthusing with great care and affection. We also work very hard on the spiritual and moral guidance of the children. The School offers all-round education of singularly high quality. Academic results are exceptional, with large numbers of scholarships won annually and a near-perfect record of Common Entrance success. Sports Teams and individuals achieve remarkable results - the 1st XV is unbeaten over four successive seasons - and the Art, Music, Drama and DT produced by the children is of the highest quality too.
We are extremely proud of all our children and all that they achieve. They have a proper sense of what is right and what is wrong and they are well prepared to move on to their senior schools and to lead happy and successful lives.
