Papplewick, a boarding and day preparatory school for 200 boys between the ages of 7 and 13, was founded in 1947 and grew under the inspiration of Peter Knatchbull-Hugessen. The school became a charitable trust in 1964 under a Board of Governors and is accredited by the Independent Schools Council.
