Maple Hayes School is one of the select few schools for dyslexics and underachievers that is inspected and approved by the Department for Children, Schools and Families. The school is set in extensive grounds near Lichfield and caters for up to 120 children from 7 to 17 years. We have a worldwide reputation for our unique and effective teaching methods and for our examination results. After taking GCSEs with us, most students go on to higher education at college or university. Excellent Ofsted report.
We provide a good all-round education without the stigma of withdrawal to a special unit and our youngsters compete well in the Midland and National Independent School sports championships. Children's learning is under the supervision of a chartered psychologist and an assessment service is available. Private and LEA placements are welcome. In addition to bursaries for private placements, there is a bursary scheme for children of very high intelligence. Admission is by interview and psychologist's report.
