School Profile

Leehurst Swan is Salisbury’s only Independent Day School for boys and girls aged 2-16. The School is listed in the top ten schools in Wiltshire by The Times due to excellent academic results coupled with a supportive, caring ethos. The School has small classes, a family atmosphere, and an environment that inspires and motivates pupils to achieve their best. The individual attention pupils receive reflects the ethos of Christian values and respect for the individual.

The 2007 full inspection stated that the school achieves all it aims and aspirations for its pupils.

The Pre-Prep welcomes children from the age of two. Set in a purpose built building, nestling in a wooded glade, the Pre-Prep provides outstanding quality early years education and care in a safe and secure environment. The ethos is one of inclusion with parents as equal partners.

Pupils in the Prep School have specialist teaching in key subjects and use dedicated school facilities in ICT, Science, Music, Art, and Design Technology. The children are prepared for 11+ examinations for entry into the local grammar schools and for entry into the Senior School.

In the Senior School the pupils normally pursue studies in ten GCSE subjects and academic results are excellent. The school equally values and nurtures creative and sporting talent awarding scholarships in these areas in addition to academic scholarships.
