School Profile

A message from Hurst's Headmaster, Tim Manly
This page can only provide you with a glimpse of the Hurst experience. Nevertheless, I hope that it will encourage you to find out more. Please do visit our stand (Number 500), look at our website (www.hppc.co.uk) and telephone (01273 836936) if you would like to ask further questions or request any of our literature; we would be delighted to hear from you.

Most importantly, before you make a decision about the next stage in your child's education, come and see the school in action. You will be made very welcome indeed.

Before you do that, however, I would just like to highlight four key aspects of life at Hurst.

Academic excellence
Most important of all, is the fact that academic excellence is the bedrock of the Hurst education. We work very hard indeed to support you - personally and academically - so that you can achieve the highest examination grades of which you are capable. These will prove to be of immense value throughout your life but, most immediately, they will enable you to choose your personal 'best step beyond school' - the University, Department and Course best suited to you and most likely to enable you to achieve your ambitions.

Superb all-round education
Beyond this, Hurst offers ambitious sporting, cultural, intellectual and social programmes. You will be able pursue your existing interests and explore new experiences. Hurst's special 'all round education' ensures that our students develop into mature, accomplished individuals who make a real success of their future lives.

Strong, friendly and supportive school community
We offer all that I have mentioned, and a great deal more, in one of the friendliest and most supportive school communities you are likely to find anywhere in the world. We are a close and united community into which you will be warmly welcomed and where, during your years with us, you will be well prepared for life at University and beyond.

Beautiful, superbly equipped, country campus that's easy to reach
Finally, it's important, I know, that you will find it very easy to travel to and from Hurst's wonderful and superbly equipped 140 acre country campus. Hurst is very close to the M23/A23 and is readily accessible by train from the London area (Hassocks station) as well as London Gatwick and London Heathrow Airports.

I hope that, once you have visited us, you will decide to join Hurst. You will receive a very warm welcome indeed and you will be superbly supported, both personally and academically, throughout your time with us.
