The Highlands School was built in 1929 to cater for local children whose parents wanted them to be taught in small classes, with a wide curriculum. The school still retains this ethos today, as we cater for girls aged 2-11 and boys aged 2-7 years of age.
As well as high academic standards the pupils are well catered for in areas of sport with a variety of PE and games sessions, together with weekly swimming, at the Reading Central pool for years 3 - 6. The older girls have a busy schedule this term of netball, cross country, basketball, athletics and football fixtures.
