School Profile
Founded in 1950, Daneshill has always prided itself on the collective qualities of it's teaching staff and their ability to interact with pupils and deliver a stimulating learning experience.
Set in a beautiful, rural location close to the Hampshire-Berkshire border the School provides the perfect environment and atmosphere for each pupil to grow and prosper as an individual with a strong set of core values.
Academically the Daneshill curriculum has always maintained the expectations of the national curriculum while also offering so much more in respect of what we would regard as real education. Traditional values form the basis of a learning experience that engenders an enthusiasm for knowledge and encourages hard work as a means to academic success. This broadly based curriculum also allows the development of high academic achievement to sit comfortably alongside our enthusiasm for pupils to become actively involved in all areas of the performing arts as well as the pursuit of sporting excellence.
Our aim has always been to develop enthusiastic learners who will make a strong contribution to their senior schools as good citizens and as pupils who are prepared to work hard in order to achieve success. This is certainly made easier by the children at Daneshill who possess a self confidence and natural carefree joy which makes them a pleasure to teach. Each of them is a living testament to our belief that self esteem is crucial to their development and success. We are also justifiably proud of the way our pupils exude courtesy, honesty, warmth and respect for others. They develop responsible attitudes to learning and life, and are a credit to themselves and their families.
