Founded in the latter half of the nineteenth century, the School has for many years enjoyed an enviable reputation as the leading boys' school on the Wirral. Since September 2000 the School has been co-educational at Sixth Form level.
Birkenhead School prides itself on high academic standards, a full programme of extra curricular activities, and a wide range of sporting activity.
