Birkdale is Sheffield's only school specialising in quality education and care exclusively for boys aged 4-11. Boys thrive in a happy environment geared to their enthusiasm and energy. It is a school where potential is reached, aspirations attained and needs are met. Specialist subject teaching from age 4 in music, french and drama and additionally from Y3 in Science, DT, Art, ICT and PE. Average pupil/teacher ratio 12:1 which allows advantageously sized teaching groups. The Preparatory School is located at Clarke House, next to the Botanical Gardens.
