At Badminton Junior School we focus on teaching that builds firm foundations. In an environment that is both welcoming and stimulating a girl can be herself. Her confidence can blossom and she can develop her own particular talents and abilities. Children are happiest when they are kept busy and so we provide a healthy balance between academic work and recreational activities - with plenty of opportunities for creativity and physical exercise. At Badminton we encourage fairness, freedom, friendship - and fun.
A broad and balanced curriculum is offered. The core subjects of English, mathematics and science take up approximately half the timetable. The remainder of the time is divided between music, art, design and information technology, and physical education. Making music features highly in the Junior School which has its own choir, orchestra and wind band. A gymnasium, twenty five metre swimming pool, netball and tennis courts, and games field are all on site, and every girl receives expert coaching from the very beginning.
Our extendible day arrangements are designed to suit the needs of a variety of girls and their parents. Entry to the Senior School is usually automatic because we limit our intake in the Junior School to girls of above average ability.Further information on Boarding Schools »
