Abbey Gate School caters for children between the ages of 3 and 11. We have secured a reputation second to none for successfully developing our pupils' academic, creative and physical skills in a caring, safe and happy family atmosphere. We believe the key to our success is to be both forward thinking and innovative in our approach to new educational ideals whilst at the same time remaining justly proud of our long history and much loved traditions.
Excellent teaching throughout the school enables us to achieve oustanding SATs results and helps children to gain a place at the senior school of their choice. There is additional specialist help available for children with a variety of special needs.
A colourful, vibrant and busy Early Years Department provides a stimulating, happy and secure start to school life and small children thrive on the fun and individual attention found there.
Music and drama play a significant part in the life of the whole school and are important factors in the development of confidence, self esteem and discipline so invaluable throughout life.
A wide range of clubs and extra curricular activities provide new challenges and opportunities to acquire new skills.
When the children leave us at the age of 11, we believe that they show a sense of responsibility and fair play and are well prepared to cope with the extra demands of their senior school.Further information on Prep Schools »
