Founded in 1915, Canterbury is a lay Catholic, coeducational, college-preparatory school. Small classes, 20 Advanced Placement courses, art, drama, and music programs support a strong curriculum. All students participate in athletics and extracurricular activities such as community service.

The school recently opened a new girls' residence, new athletic facility, new music rooms and has completely renovated all of its dormitories.
