School Profile

Life Academy is a place for young people who may be struggling in their current educational setting with academics, motivation, or discipline issues.

We exist to share the gospel. We provide quality education, build moral character, and enhance self-esteem for students through an independent, diploma-granting middle school and high school. We offer a core curriculum written to Colorado state standards and designed to emphasize a Christian worldview and conservative values.

Not an alternative to learning, we're an alternative environment in which to learn. We provide a relational alternative to the traditional, institutional, lecture hall, "one-size-fits-all" methodology most commonly applied in other schools. Our curriculum is written to Colorado state standards, and our course of study is both student-paced and teacher-directed. We provide daily academic planning and management to help students learn to manage their time

Students work independently, with the immediate availability of tutorial assistance from volunteer subject matter experts as well as from their instructors. We utilize a variety of highly-respected textbooks as well as video and computer resources, but our deliberate choice is to rely on the Socratic method. We believe its dependability as an education method has been proven by milliennia of experience.

Though many of our students have come to us with credit deficits that caused them to be at risk of becoming high school dropouts, we have been a major factor in their academic recovery.
