School Profile

Metropolitan Community College is a Canadian tertiary institution with two campuses in the Canadian province of British Columbia - one in Vancouver, and another in the Fraser Valley. The College is also a University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) Centre, and delivers CIE assessments and syllabi in different subject areas.

Cambridge University (established in 1209) is in Great Britain. It is one of the oldest and most distinguished universities in the world. It is also the sister University of Oxford (also in Great Britain). Both are often respectively referred to as the North American equivalents of Harvard and Yale Universities in the United States.

Metropolitan Community College's status as a University of Cambridge International Examinations Centre is a testament both to its instructional integrity and quality of courses. These courses provide the skills and knowledge for employment, and satisfy the needs for further education.

The College continues to forge partnerships with many community groups, business organizations, educational institutions and governments. For over a decade, the provincial government of British Columbia in Canada, by way of training contracts, has provided funds to the College for the delivery of employment related courses. Equally, the provincial and federal government's students loan scheme in Canada for post-secondary studies is attainable at the College. The College is indeed a Community COLLEGE, and welcomes you to its community of learners.
