Country Montessori School, located just north of San Diego offers children and their families an authentic Montessori education based on the Dr. Montessori's principles of mixed-age classrooms and individual guidance for the child's academic, social, emotional, and physical development. Our compassionate directresses are AMS, NCME, and/or AMI credentialed for the program levels they guide. We currently serve 195 students and 125 families and offer instruction at the primary (3-6 year-olds), lower elementary (6-9 year-olds), and upper elementary (9-12 year-olds). Our core curriculum consists of mathematics, language arts, geometry, botany, and zoology with our upper elementary students receiving instruction in chemistry. Practical life, art, Spanish, music, and computer instruction are integrated into the curriculum as well. Our reading program provides elementary students individualized and group instruction in phonics, guided reading, and literature analysis. As a non-profit 501 3c entity, our success depends on parent involvement. We have a close knit community of parents involved in a range of activities to support our school.
