The WIS curriculum is designed to prepare pupils for examination in International GCSEs (taken at 16) and for entry to post-16 studies, in a wide range of educational systems. This includes the International Baccalaureate (IB), Advanced Levels (AS/A Levels) and the US education system. The school is a University of Cambridge International Examinations centre, successfully passing an inspection in June 2007. Cambridge IGCSE is the most popular qualification in he world for 14-16 year olds. The teaching at the school is in English and all pupils learn French, from elementary to advanced level; more able or fluent speakers are given instruction in French according to their needs. This, taken together with the small classes and friendly atmosphere, makes WIS stand out from other international schools in the area.
