Aranmore's proud history dates back to 1903 with the foundation of a school, originally named Arranmore, on the present site in Leederville, by the Sisters of Mercy. In 1942 the secondary girls’ school, St Mary’s, was joined by a boys’ school, CBC Leederville, established by the Christian Brothers. These two schools combined in 1986 to form Aranmore as it is today.
